Note to self...

If you don't already know this, I'll let you know that our upstairs is comprised of the girls' bedroom (they decided that they prefer to share a room), a game room, and a bathroom.  Basically the upstairs is a kids zone in our house.  The kids zone can become quite chaotic from a "neatness" perspective.  This leads to lectures about cleaning up after yourself, putting things away, etc, etc.  The girls apparently are tired of the lectures and have developed a solution to help remind them to do the things that they have been lectured about.  I call this solution, "Note to Self".  I discovered notecards throughout the upstairs with reminders on how to keep the upstairs in a condition that Jack and I will approve of.  I had to laugh when I saw these as some of the notecards could have quotes around the verbiage as I've said some of these exact words to them.  I think it is hysterical!  Enjoy!

This notecard is taped to where the XBox and Wii games are supposed to be.  (Rather than discs strewn about all over the floor outside of their cases).

These notecards are on the shelf behind the toilet.  They say "Anything you bring in shower u take out and put away where it belongs", and "Pick up clothes when ur done taking shower.  Clothes don't go here.".

I really hope this "note to self" works.  Sadly, we've really had this discussion more than once.  Imagine my horror each time I had the pleasure of discovering someone forgot to perform this act.  Ugh!

More is Better.  At least, that seems to be their motto when it comes to the amount of toothpaste they believe is sufficient to brush their teeth.  I'm not talking about a little bit of blue and white in the sink, I'm talking enormous globs coating the porcelain sink.  Kinda gross!
