I wonder if I can remember everything that's been going on these past 8 days...

It truly seems like a whirlwind! Lets see, Paige tried to injure her mommy by asking her to show her cartwheels and round offs (I think I'm still sore from all that!), Samantha went on a field trip to the Ohio Historical Society, Corey's mouth is totally healed after his surgery, Paige tried out for Cheerleading last Friday, there was an incident here at the house Friday afternoon (long story, but the family is fine), we spent Memorial Day weekend at the cabin, and managed to plant our garden and attend a 7th grade boys football orientation meeting. Lets not forget I managed to get to work everyday! Oh, and I was interviewed and photographed for the bank's magazine!

So what were the outcomes of all this activity? Well, Paige didn't make the cheerleading squad, but they gave her some feedback on things to work on for next year. She has already managed to bring me the forms for Soccer and is bringing me the Volleyball forms next week. I don't think she took it too hard and has bounced back beautifully! Her self-confidence never ceases to amaze me. I wish I had her confidence at her age (and even now sometimes!).

We had a really good time at the cabin. As always, way too much good food and great company. Jack's mom even joined us for an evening and she seemed to really enjoy herself. Now, if she'll just write down those stories for us!

The pool opened here in town over Memorial Day weekend and the kids have managed to make it there twice already. I see a lot of swimming in their future this summer!

After the football orientation, I came home $122.50 lighter (by the way, he is selling car wash tickets for $5 each. I, of course, had to buy them and selling them is how I'll get reimbursed. The car wash is July 25th between 10am – 2pm) with his schedule and the list of activities he'll be a part of. Oh yeah, and the list of other things we still need to buy. Lets just say Corey's summer will be VERY busy!

Here is his game schedule if you're interested in attending (all games are at 5pm):

Looks like everyone certainly enjoyed their weekend. Nice to see that the pool was open and being used. Lucky lucky, we are still waiting for warm weather in Maine.

Love to all
