Bowtie Biscuits and Spades

If you're not already intrigued I'm sure you will be....

On Saturday the 31st the kids made us Bowties. They are supposed to be made with rolls instead of biscuits but they made it work!  The recipe is basically biscuits, brown sugar, and butter.  You take a  bottle cap and punch a hole through the biscuit then take the biscuit, twist to a figure 8 and put the punch out on top of where the figure 8 crosses.  Bake and Done!  Oh yeah, you have to dip the biscuit in melted butter then in the brown sugar first.  Anyway, the kids had a blast making them and I had a blast eating them.  Especially the buttons on the bowties!  Scrumptous!

Last night we played Spades.  The kids are actually getting quite good at it.  We decided to light a fire in the fireplace and hang out in the living room and play.  We are starting to really enjoy our game night!  You can see in one of the photos that Corey was very serious and not interested in being bothered with photo time!
