Next was the Orthodontist at 11am. Corey had to have a baby tooth extracted last year to allow his adult tooth to come in. Today, they did new xrays because it still wasn't coming in. The X-Ray revealed that there is a partial adult tooth in the way of his true adult tooth that needs to come in. Now he has to have this "fake" tooth removed by an oral surgeon in the same spot the baby tooth was extracted. In addition, the oral surgeon will have to put a bracket on the real adult tooth so the orthodontist can pull it up into place. But that's not all folks, Corey is also missing an adult tooth in another spot. Tooth number 22 to be exact. While we're at the oral surgeon we'll have to discuss whether it is best to move his natural teeth forward to close the gap where that tooth is missing or if he should have a false tooth put in.
Paige had a rough spot on one of her braces and had to have that drilled down. In addition, one side of her mouth isn't moving like it should and she has to wear rubber bands on only one side of her mouth at night. Weird.
Next we ran and got some new shoes. On the way we called Grampy Semo to ask about some family history. You see, the Orthodontist told us that being born missing adult teeth is a genetic trait. Turns out Grampy Semo had a few relatives that were born missing their adult teeth. A little fun fact for you, the Orthodontist said that they take care of a little girl that was born missing 17 of her adult teeth. Her parents were both born missing just 1 or 2, but because it is such a strong genetic trait, their daughter was missing a lot. I told Corey he'll need to ask some questions about teeth before getting married now.
Oh about the shoe shopping, you won't believe this, but Corey is a size 8 mens and Paige is a size 6 in women's! Wow!
We had only intended to stop off at the Optometrist to get Paige's glasses tightend up because the lens keeps falling out and discovered that all three of us were due for an exam. Needless to say, they kept us there and did the exam on the spot! We hadn't had lunch yet and were starving, but we stayed and suffered through it.
Paige's eyes have worsened a bit and she needed new glasses and Corey, ut oh, now needs glasses. Paige is 20/70 in one eye and 20/40 in the other. Corey is 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other. I lucked out at 20/15 in both eyes. Hoorah for Lasik surgery. 10 years and holding! We all had to head home, starving, tired, and wearing cardboard sunglasses because our eyes were dilated. We looked pretty silly. Home at 3pm. Long day!
So anyway, Corey got some big news today. Wasn't much of a day off school and work for us!
Here's some photos of an exhausted Corey after lots of big news:

Wow, you all sure did have an exhausting day, but its nice that you got everyting done in one day, and now don't have to ruin another day. Nice weather is coming, and now you can all enjoy it.
Hope Corey manages to get along with one tooth missing.
Can't wait to see everyone in their new glasses.
Love you all
